    Domestic violence intervention Program (DVIP)

The Baitul Hemayah DVIP program adheres to and surpasses all NC State standards and laws regarding Domestic Violence & DVIP.  Baitul Hemayah DVIP now offers groups classes and assessments virtually.  Perpetrators are court ordered in the 26 week state-certified batterer intervention   educational program designed to confront the abuser with their abusive behavior.  The program is offered to court-ordered approved individuals, although a court order is not required for participation.  Candidates can be court ordered or referred by another agency or individual. Eight issues, based on the Duluth model and promoting non-abusive behavior, are presented by a male and female facilitator. BHDVIP is a comprehensive educational program for domestic violence offenders focusing on aggressor accountability.

Baitul Hemayah Domestic Violence Intervention Program now offers groups classes and assessments virtually.

    DVIP trained peer support services

Peer support specialists are individuals with lived experience who offer help to others through empathy, respect, and empowerment. They receive training that allows them to provide assistance focused on others' recovery needs. People with mental health conditions, substance use disorder, medical conditions, disabilities, and more can benefit from the services provided by peer support workers. These services can improve quality of life, as well as reduce symptoms and the chance of relapse.

    individual/trauma-based counseling

People need trauma counseling to help them heal. Trauma counseling is a form of psychotherapy that aims to help people who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events, such as domestic violence, accidents, combat, natural disasters, and acts of terrorism. The goal of trauma counseling is to reduce the negative effects on an individual’s physical health and psychological well-being caused by trauma.
